In this chapter, we are introduced to a new character, a young man named Chenyannan, who is a member of the Golden-Core-Stage Cultivation. He was once a child and was orphaned by bandits. His parents were killed, and he was rescued from the bandits by an ace of the sect. He is now a cultivator. He tells the others that he will fight them with all he has, but that if they advance, they will have the chance to survive. They must advance forward until their lives end, he says, and that is more like it. He orders the disciples to attack him and ambush him. There are still about 500 disciples of the golden-core stage cult surrounding him, and they are waiting for him on the mountains. He says that he cannot move because he is surrounded by them. He cannot believe that the master of such a powerful sect would treat human life as nothing.
