In this chapter, we are introduced to a new character named Lu, who is a member of the Illustrious Society. He is a young man who was teased by the girls at the jasper house. He tells us that he used to be very shy, but now that he is in the company of such beautiful women, he is happy to see them. Lu tells us about a man who tried to break the formation of the town, but the group of disciples did not allow him to do so. He also tells us the man was talking to an outside disciple of a thousand machines named Lin Bo, but he was unable to hear what the other disciples were saying. Lu wants to know where he is going to meet the man. He says that he wants to go to the mountain to meet Lin Bo. He thinks that the music playing in front of him is pretentious, and that the man's cultivation is too high for him. He asks the man to read his ambition from his music, and if they meet again, they will be friends.
