In this chapter, the tortoise spirit and the other heavenly spirits discuss the situation. The tortoise spirit says that he is afraid that something fishy is going on, and that someone is hiding somewhere nearby. He tells the other two to hold off on attacking until he can figure out a way to intervene. The other heavenly spirit tells him to go ahead and attack the other sects, but he says that the leader treats him like a "decorative object" . He says that if he were not the leader, he wouldn't be here at all, and he wants to save the life of the woman he loves. He wants to kill her, he says, because she can be an asset to the divine race, and she is important to him. The two of them decide to sneak into the meeting of the three sects and throw dog poo at the leader to hide his shadow, and then attack him.
