About This Chapter
This chapter opens with a flashback to the beginning of the previous chapter, in which we are introduced to the protagonist and his friends. In this scene, the protagonist is sitting alone in his room. He is overcome with emotion and asks the reader to imagine what it must be like to be a vampire. He tells the reader that he has been called a "total idiot" by the sunjae, and he asks the protagonist to give him a sticker as a token of his friendship. The protagonist gives the sticker to one of his friends, and the two of them laugh at the sight of each other. They are interrupted by the arrival of a third friend, who is also in the room. The third friend tells the protagonist that he is helping him with his homework, and that he will need to stay for a bit longer to complete the assignment.
