In this chapter, we learn that Dongha has been racking his fingers in order to seal the deal with the Governess. The Governess is shocked and asks him to hold her hand. He does so, and she tells him that he is the only person who feels this way about Dongha. She says that she doubts that he feels the same way about her. She tells him to come see her for a minute, and then she will show him how charming she is.
