In this chapter, Jim continues his story of how he fell in love with Ganymede. He tells us that he was "just like an angel" when he was a child, and that he had to "chase him off" after he had eaten a worm. He then tells us about how he had been "deeply hurt" by the worm's bite, and how he has since "become extremely ill" because of the bite. He also tells us how he once drank so much that he "bit drunk" that he thought it was alcohol for the first time in his life. He says that he has been keeping an "eye on him" for the past few days, but that he still has no idea who the "juwon" is. He wants to "figure it out" so that he can "get in his way" .
