In this chapter, Jim tells his son that love is the only thing that matters in life. He tells him that he has to give up everything to win the love of his future wife, Dongha. He says that if he gave everything to Dongha, she would be happy and he would be a father to her. He also tells her that if she gave him everything, he would not be so hot and she would not have to cut her hair. He then asks her why she doesn't like her son's eyes. She says that she has been curious about this for a while and that she wants to know why his eyes don't show. He was an outcast at school, she says, and his eyes were just like his. She tells him to put the flowers in the freezer so that she can have one later.
