In this short scene, we learn that Kim Jong-il's mistress, Kim Ju-cheol, is being taken to the Ministry of Justice to be arrested for having written in his journal that a man named "shadow" should be arrested. The mistress is shocked to learn that the police have come to arrest her husband's lover, and she begs the guards to take her with them. The guards refuse, saying that they need more backup. The master of the house tells the guards that he doesn't think the man they're arresting is that good, and he's going to distract him by bringing in two more generals from the ministry or the palace guardsmen.
