As a class monitor, Shmoop notices the behavior of the male students in his class. He wonders why the students do not give practical gifts to their friends who are taking the college entrance exam. He asks one of the students if he is in love. The student replies that he is not, and Shmo points out that if he has so much time, he can use it to study more formulas. He then tells the other students that they can celebrate their birthdays wherever they are and invite their mother for dinner. He also tells them that he has seen their monthly test results and that they have done a good job. Shmo then asks what present they will give to their friend for his birthday
