In this chapter, we learn that Caius's body was taken from him by the demon clan, and his divinity was extracted from it. Caius explains that the demon queen had wanted his divinity, but his body was incompatible with it, so she had to use his blood to cultivate other vessels with the same pheromones as her own. The vessels died soon after, Caius says, due to the fact that the queen didn't recognize which part of his body contained his divinity. He says that his blood can help Caius save his life, and that he's willing to sacrifice his life to do so.
