In the meantime, Manpachi has been eating snacks that he has hidden in the refrigerator. When he wakes up, however, he finds that the body he is in belongs to a young boy. He explains that the memories of his soul are stored in the boy's body, and that he is just temporarily borrowing the body. He tells the boy that he wants to enter the "spiritual world" , but that he must first wake up senzou, who has been sleeping in a secluded place. He says that the sun goddess sealed the body because she wanted to prevent the return of gyokumen, the god of destruction, so that they could save senzou. If they had known about this, he says, they would have tried to kill him, but killing him would have made senzou even more afraid and angry. He asks the boy to go inside the mind of senzou so that he can "enter the spiritual world."
