The fox tells us that he's not surprised that senzou forgot him, even though he was a "faithful follower" of his. He scratched senzou's back when he was sick, and regurgitated his meat so it wouldn't be too hard for senzou to eat. The fox says that he spent a day trying to get revenge on senzou, but that he lost his "protector" . He's been eagerly awaiting his return, and he wants to "kick those wolves around" and "go crazy" like old times. He says he'll take a tanuki instead of a badger, because he doesn't want to be a "boring fox" like senzou. He also says he overheard senzou and manpachi talking, and that he overheard them talking from one of his holes. The two of them live in the same hole, he says, and they both want to see their parents and siblings.
