I’m guessing we’re supposed to think that Tanuki!Manpachi is the reincarnation of Human!Manpachi, but I noticed that H!Manpachi looks a lot like Shiki, and Shiki is also obsessed with Senzou.
H!Manpachi was able to understand bakemono’s so maybe that’s why Shiki was able to be controlled by the shaman, he has some sort of shaman power himself without realizing. Maybe H!Manpachi was a past life for Shiki and T!Manpachi?
Not saying any of this is true necessarily, just some interesting ideas I had.

This series is so good 😭💕 I bought the available chapters on POP Comics already but it's definitely worth buying it again. I hope the author's other works will be available for us to buy soon too!

When I first started reading it, I thought it was going to be cute animal story. Lo-and-behold, it's has a pretty good story line and art. Want more of it...
