In this chapter, we learn that senzou is using only about 20 percent of his power, and that he's planning to attack the humans first. He's also worried that the humans will find out about it and report it to the authorities, so he decides to take care of senzou himself. He tells us that if senzou only has two tails, he and the other dogs can suppress him, but if he only has three tails, they'll have the power to do the same thing. He also says that if the humans only have one tail, they can suppress the other two, but that if they only have two, then they can do it all by themselves. When the dogs hear the sound of a tree falling, they hide their muzzles and go back to work. They can't find Mii, so they decide to eat her. Mii's leg is too strong to get in their way, and so they eat her alive. They're so happy that Mii finally found them, and they're going to run away to find the brat soon. They don't have to worry about the humans finding them, though, because Mii has a powerful soul, too, and she's not going to let them get in her way. She's going to use her leg to get away from the humans, and then she'll be able to run off with the brat. She says that she doesn't need the badger's help, because the badger gave her a pill that lasts for an entire day, and Mii can take the brat anywhere she wants to go, even if it means running away from her own territory. She wants to make sure that her last impression of her as a dog is that she is useless, and not that she can be useful to the humans. She also says she could have taken the brat by herself, but she wanted to be useful for Mii.
