This chapter opens with a description of a "terrifying magnetic storm" . It's not clear what the storm is all about, but it's clear that mankind is not that big of a threat to the universe as a whole. The storm looks like it could be the key to breaking through to the "eternal golden core stage" , but the main passageway is already closed, so they have to watch for ambushes. They decide to use the cauldron as a first move, since it smells awful. They also decide to poison kintaro with the poison cleansing pill, since that's what he's been using to create the black fire dragons. They go to greet their enemies, and then they set up their traps. They're not sure who is walking into the central chamber, but they're sure it'll be hades. He's definitely not fooled, and they've got to kill him before he escapes.
