Back in the village, Ren tells his grandfather that he's finally home after ten years. He's happy to see his grandfather, who's friendly and knowledgeable. Ren tells him that the family has been looking for partnership opportunities in the region for the last two years. One day, Ren's grandfather returns the family's golden tribulation elixir, which is supposed to rid the body of toxins. When Ren learns that his grandfather has returned the elixir to the family, the family declares war on Ren and his family. Ren asks his grandfather to bring Zhangjianshe, the wife of his grandfather's business partner, to apologize to him in person before Ren can help him. Ren says that he needs to go to the pharmacy and buy a "golden tribulation" pill. He wants to see if the pill can rid his body of all its toxins. Ren thinks that the pill is a fake, but he can't figure out if it's from the yin or the yang sects. He decides to sell other medicinal pills too, like heart-saving pills and kidney-cleansing pills.
