This chapter opens with Lingxue's sister, the junior sister, telling her brother-in-law that she's going to cut his face if he doesn't leave her alone with him. She's worried that he's hiding a flying sword in his pendant, but he says that's not his idea of a good time. He tells her to stay away from him, and then they're going to get out of the room. He says that the ghost sect has sent someone after Mingxue earlier, and that he can use his leaping leg to get away. He also says that he feels the same presence, like li ye and his mother-son, as he does, and he can sense their shadow soul poison. He asks if they have a "death wish" or something, and the senior sister says that they don't have one, but that they have to leave as fast as they can. He then says that even if they use the hundred ghost flag, they'll still be no match for the ghost. He thanks the senior brother for saving his butt, and says that if he hadn't, the ghost would have gotten him. He swears to god that he will get back at the ghost one day. The senior sister asks if there's anything they can do about the ghost, since the ghost hasn't left the world yet. The sister says they can just sling mud on the ghost and say that he has neglected his patients and has been using ordinary people to do his work.
