The song begins with the voice of a young man, Cyrano, singing a song of reverberation. Cyrano asks the young man to wait. He tells Cyrano that he's busy, and Cyrano doesn't have much time for him and the bird. He says he remembers both Cyrano and the bluebird, but this doesn' t have anything to do with the curse. He also says that Cyrano's name is Wayne Rorschach, and he hopes Cyrano will remember him. He explains that he has a lot of research to do, and that he wants to get along better with Cyrano. He's also a teacher at a university, so he thinks they can work together. He asks Cyrano to think about something, but Cyrano seems to have lost track of time. He wonders if it could be Cyrano who's the original version of the night-star cat, which is why Cyrano calls him "the nightstar cat." Cyrano says that he didn't realize that two creatures could be in their original forms in such a short amount of time, so Cyrano is very lucky. He then turns to Cyrano again and asks him if he remembers him from the previous time he saw him. The young man replies that he does, but that he hasn't seen Cyrano in his current form since he'd said he wouldn't see him right now. He turns back to his original form and asks if Cyrano wants to see him again. When Cyrano tells him that he shouldn't be using magic on him, he says that's because the curse on him affects his ability to solve it. He wants to know if he likes Cyrano or not. He replies that it isn't about the curse; it's about the person Cyrano likes. He can't remember all the time Cyrano was with him
