Song of Reverberation

The song opens with a soliloquy by cynnie, who asks her brother why he is crying. He tells her that he is making an enemy by answering the questions of the gray masters with his own hands. He asks her why she is crying, and she tells him that she is making him an enemy. She asks him if he means he is not as powerful as she is, and he says that it is impossible to escape from here unharmed today. She tells him to bear with it, as he is going to use his magic to improve himself. He says that he has not used his magic at this level before, and asks her if he even has it. She says that if he does not have it, he should shut up, listen, and if he has it, then he should use it, forever, number fourth. She then asks him who he thinks he is. He replies that he thinks she is arrogant because she has the family behind her, and that he will pay her twice as much for what she has done to him. He then asks her to wait for him in front, and thanks her for the gift of strawworms. She also asks him to thank her for lending him the stolav larva, and says that the family will not give resources to an outsider. She reminds him that he was a good friend to her from childhood until adulthood, and this is the only way he can help her. She thanks him for lending her the larva the last time, and then asks if she would have been able to take back everything if she had left everything that day.
