About This Chapter
cynnie asks her baby brother to come to her room at any time she wants, but she doesn't want him to go out. She tells him she's going to go to the library to study a book. She asks if she feels bad for him because he challenged her without her permission, and she asks if he's afraid that she'll lose him to her. She says she hasn't learned this yet, so she can't study the book by herself. She wants to enter the library and study the curse by herself, because it's forbidden magic. She also wants to know if she should stop studying the curse, and if she wants to leave her that badly. She's not going to let her stay that badly, she says. She won't beat her up if she keeps doing this kind of thing, she tells him. If the current theory holds true, and the curse is lifted, then what if the person who's been affected by the curse disappears with it? She tells her that she didn't just think of breaking the curse; she thought of how to keep her from going away. If she were to disappear with the new system, then she'd have to erase all of her memories, so that she wouldn't be able to put herself at risk. She reminds him to cheer up, and tells him not to give up. And she tells little fu to get dressed, because young master is coming to take her to the "dreaded library."
