In this short song, Dezier tells his friend, Cyrano, not to call him by his first name. He tells Cyrano to rest if he is tired, and Cyrano agrees to do so. Cyrano tells Dezier that he is not a part of the curse, and that he should not be blinded by it. Dezier says that he threw away the manuscript that he had studied so hard on the floor. He asks Cyrano if he thinks that the manuscript is useful, and if he does not think it is, he should return it to him.
