In this chapter, cynnie reveals that she is a man, and that she has been working as an undercover agent for the magic family for a long time. She is surprised to learn that lin will take her away in a couple of days, and she is even more surprised to find out that he is a police officer. . She tells us that she was never able to see lin before she lost all of her memories, and so her situation is special. She explains that the only way to break lins curse is to use magic to erase her memories. She says that she knows this because she tried to regain her memories and identities after lin lost them. She wants to help lin find a way to get rid of the curse. She also wants to tell ding, especially the people from the axata family, that they are just like her.
