About This Chapter
The narrator apologizes for his violent behavior in the past. He says that he is advancing faster because of the training he has received at the sheffield academy. He compares the academy to a boxing ring and says that there is no way to compare notes with a professional. He tells the narrator that he will lose his title in the coming season anyway. The narrator tells him that he can never let his fight down again. He adds that the masters are coming up a month later and that the free training will be delivered to his home. He then tells the story of how qiuning came to the academy in the first place. He was an amateur player who lost his titles through wild card. He lost to a group of former pros who all lost their titles in the same season. He told them that beating an amateur is proof of your solid amateur level no matter what the score is. He went on to win the following year's tournament in china.
