In this chapter, the young man tells the story of how he came to be the owner of the underground casino. When his father was released early from prison, he was asked to pay back the debt owed to him by his father's creditor. The creditor threatened that he would not be able to pay the debt if he did not pay back his father. The young man says that his father and he used to work well together, but that the creditor threatened to force him to play a match with the man who was holding him hostage. He says that he has been receiving an anonymous e-mail every day with a picture of a beautiful, young woman living alone.
