In this chapter, we're introduced to a young man named Edward, who's just started his career in the world of professional snooker. He's a cocky and arrogant young man, and he's won a bunch of matches in a row, including one against the world's best player, William Higgins, in the final of the first-ever ranking tournament. We're also introduced to some of the other players in the chapter, including William, who is also a good player, but not as good as Edward.
