The next morning, the doctor goes to the hospital to check on the patient. He's excited to see how well he's doing. He wants to know if there's anything he can do to save the boy. He doesn't know what else to do, but a blood transfusion seems like the safest thing to do. He asks the doctor if he can hide the boy in the laboratory so that he won't have to worry about him later. He says he'll go home and ask for leave at school so he can come back and check on him.
