In this chapter, Huck explains to his brother why he suddenly went crazy. He explains that he was trying to lose weight by using a magic book given to him by his grandmother. Huck tells his brother that the book is a "book of witchcraft" and that he will have to use lots of herbs every week to recover. Huck says that he has already mastered many of the spells in the book and that if his brother doesn't believe him, he can show him some of his own spells that he's already mastered
