This chapter opens with the narrator explaining that he was watching a survival show because of a character named Chris. The narrator tells us that this character is named "xiaohua" , and that he is a great swimmer, singer, and rescuer. He also says that the two of them have teamed up to make a movie about mermaids. He says that he got a friend to take a picture of what the character will look like, and the friend tells him that he looks like a mermaid. He tells the friend that the crew has come to the island to shoot a scene for the movie. The friend tells the narrator that he doesn't know what he's talking about, but the narrator is all, "you don't even know!" . The doctor tells the captain that something is wrong, and they need to go home. The captain says that they've got new orders saying that they can no longer follow the dolphin. They can go to the beach and look for someone to take the place of the dolphin's creator. The crew rushes back to the ship
