This chapter opens with a description of the "White Horse Tower" , which is the headquarters of the Protectorate. It was established in the same time as the "Youyan Pass" . The patrolling swordsman of the White Horse Tower, Bai Xingyun, was one of the strongest swordsmen in the Pass. He died prematurely, and the tower was renamed the "Death Tower" or the "Cursed Tower" because of his death. The Protectorate has invited some well-known priests to investigate the place, but they have not found anything.
