About This Chapter
The chapter opens with a description of the Barrier combat field, in which all creatures are created to fight one another. The narrator asks why there are so many bones and bones in the Dragon den. He wonders if one dies in this place, and wonders if he will die for real. He feels dizzy and faint and wonders where the dragon went. The blood pool changes the form of the spear, and he wonders if it is burning his flesh and organs. The water does not feel hot anymore, and the change of his body seems to relate to the bronze statue. He is still in the den, but his body feels wrong. He asks if he is drowning in the pool, but he cant tell if this is true or not. The pool has dried up completely, he says, and there is no other creature in the area. He wants to go with the others to confront the enemy, but the four of them are waiting for the other disciples to join them. They are not going anywhere, they say, because the two enemies are looking for him. He says that he is not stupid to die with them, as he has been killed twice.
