The chapter opens with a description of the "universal qi" , which means that there's going to be a "breakthrough" in the realm of the arts. This means that the "noble students" and the "low-class students" are going to have to fight it out for the right to practice the arts in the first place. This is a big deal, because it's the first time that the lower classes have ever had a chance to practice their art in front of a "nobleman" . Wow, that's a pretty big deal. The chapter ends with a discussion of the difference between the nobles and the low class students. The nobles are better than the low classes, says the narrator, because they're able to "form the cause consciousness" and "illume the light." The narrator is impressed by the fight between the two nobles. He's glad that he's not the only one who's been able to practice his art with the lower class students, because now everyone will know about him. The narrator says that the old school principal made a good choice in using the old man to fight back against the "arrogant" students. He says that now that everyone knows about him, he'll be able to kick some ass.
