In this chapter, we learn that Lin Si's father wants to make his son the chief housekeeper, but Lin Si refuses to do so because he doesn't have any martial arts training. Lin Si tells us that his father wanted to hire Lin Si as the housekeeper because he wanted Lin Si to have the sword, but he refused because he didn't want to put Lin Si in danger while Lin Si wanted to get the sword for himself. He also tells us how Lin Si tricked Lin Si into getting rid of Luo Jin and his men so Lin Si could get the entire mansion for himself, and Lin Si is shocked. He thinks Lin Si must have given Lin Si the potion that cured her arm, and he asks Lin Si if she gave the potion to Lin Si, or if Lin Si gave it to her to let Lin Si have the potion for him. He's shocked, because he's out of strength. He tells Lin Si that he can't stand Lin Si any longer, because she's a "hard nut to crack." Lin Si says that he would have picked Lin Si over him if his parents hadn't destroyed his cultivation base. He says that his parents are behind his parents' death, and that he wants to be his slave. He wants to know why Lin Si isn't willing to help him.
