About This Chapter
In this chapter, we learn that the fox clan needs to exterminate the demon because it's the enemy of the clan. In other words, the demon is the fox's nemesis, and the only way the clan can kill it is by killing the fox. This is why the demon has to be exterminated, the narrator tells us. He also tells us that if the fox is wounded, he'll die. The narrator then goes on to tell us that the reason huo-yun attacked you was because he respected you too much, and that's why he didn't want to hurt anyone else. He's not sure if this is true or not, but he doesn't think it is. He tells the story of how the fox wound up in the demon's hands, and if the wound is healed, the fox will never heal. He then tells us about how the demon attacks
