About This Chapter
In this short scene, Hirokazu tells the audience that he plans to make Mashiro the Toushu of the Tssuka family. He says that if she chooses to take over, he will make sure that she and her husband are able to live happily together. He also says that he will come back the next day to find out the answer to the question of whether or not they should run away. He asks the audience how long it has been that kami has been inside his hair, and he says that no grown-ups around him believed it. He adds that he was bullied into acting like a thief, but now that he sees how stupid the adults are, he decides to do the ritual himself. He explains that his father knows the ritual will take place in three days, but he is not sure if he will be able to pass through the kekkai barrier and reach him. He will devote his life to serve the family, he says.
