The cat is in good condition, and Yeonhong says he's decided to adopt it. He also gets permission from his parents to bring the cat with him after a week's stay in the hospital. He tells Samsaek that he'll treat him to whatever he wants, but that he has to pay for food as well and bring a thank you gift for his parents every time he goes to their house. He says this is dangerous, and that he won't be able to go to school any faster because he'd have to take care of his parents. He's glad to hear that he likes the way he smiles, and he says he wants to let go of the "unresolved feelings" that have been hanging over him. He doesn't want to talk about the school trip he went on when he was young, but he does want to know if he remembers the trip. He didn't remember it at all, and says he heard it was an "emergency situation" and that it must have been a trip with some neighborhood friends. He adds that it made him think that he and sangon have been looking at each other for a while, but because they have a "kind of relationship," it might have been harder for them to get anywhere because they're so close. He realizes that the "person who protects him by my side" is a person like him.
