In this chapter, Kyung-Ran explains that he is in a bad mood. He tells her that his father is working in China and that he has left his wife and child behind. He says that he moved away from home when he was a child because of his father's work and that now he hates his mother. He also says that the root of his problems is his father, who is acting like he is now a changed man. He explains that even though his sister is cheerful and bright, she is not his father because he has already passed away. He wishes he could have spent more time with his father.
