About This Chapter
The chapter opens with the narrator wondering why the girl isn't calling him in person. He's already told Si that it would be awkward for her to confess her love to him, but she's not there. The other girls have disappeared, but they haven't disappeared yet. Si doesn't think they'll be back soon, so the narrator wonders what he should do. He writes love with chocolate, but if it's filled in, it'll look like he has ulterior motives. Si tells him to eat the cake, and that's it. The narrator tells Si that he's telling her this because it looks like they're close. He tells her that she should tell everyone about the rejection she got from her father in middle school. The sunbae told her that a girl like her wants to date her, and it was traumatic for her. She's now at a loss for words, and she can't figure out how to handle men. Si says that there's still some strawberry cake left, so they should tell no one. Si also tells the narrator that he should keep the secret from his dad too, since he might help her if he helps her.
