In this chapter, we learn that the leader of the Black Dragon Guards, Brahman, is a former member of the first generation of black dragons. He is also the man who scouted the strongest black dragon fighters from the tenjiku, a territory in northern Japan that is considered to be the most dangerous territory for the black dragon. Brahman tells the group that he scouted them because they are the strongest fighters in the entire territory. The group is shocked to learn that Brahman is a member of this elite group of fighters. The other members of the group, including Waka and Takemi Akashi, are also shocked at Brahman's presence.
