In this chapter, we learn that the next meeting of the gang will take place on the fourth floor of the same building where the previous one took place. The young narrator is excited to be there, but he is also worried about what will happen to the other guests. He is also concerned about the fact that he has not been able to prevent Hirokazu from having an affair with Tora, and he wonders if he could have prevented it from happening in the first place. He asks the young narrator where they are going, and the narrator tells him that they are in the "middle of shibuya" , which is a shopping district. The narrator is shocked to find that he is in such a poor part of town, and asks him to shut up and not bother the customers. He tells him to hit the "fourth floor button" so that he can speak to the guy in front of him. The boy agrees, and they go into the "waiting room" to wait for the guests to arrive. As they wait, the narrator notices that the girl in the mirror is wearing a man's clothes, and that the man is taking off his clothes. He wonders if it is possible for a man to take away a woman's mind if he enters the room. He also wonders why the girl is naked, and wonders if she is being taken away by a man. He then wonders if the girl and the man are having sex in the room next door. He realizes that the room is a "sex room" and wonders why they are there. He thinks that they must be having sex with each other, because the girl seems so mature. He wants to kill the girl, too, and wishes that he could do so.
