In this short scene, we learn that Mishima has been shot in the head by a hired assassin, and that he is dead. Mishima's mother, Izana, tells him that she has abandoned him, and Mishima is annoyed at her for abandoning him. He tells her that he was abandoned by his mother's ex-husband and that his father was murdered by some hired assassins. He asks why she did not tell him of his father's death, and she replies that she did notice, but that the fact that they are not related does not mean anything. She tells Mishima that if he had been alone, he would have been happy. She asks him why he even came to her, and he replies that he came because he was in love with her. He says that he would not have been so happy if he were alone, and asks her why she even came at all. She replies that if she were alone from the start, she would be happy by herself. She says that she would have had happiness by herself, but now that she is alone, she feels that happiness has been taken away from her.
