About This Chapter
Chapter 89 opens with a flashback to a time when Hiroshi and Kisaki met on their way home from school. Kisaki is a smart kid, and Hiroshi is a studious kid. They used to walk home together, and since they live in the same neighborhood, they'd walk together a lot. When they first met, they didn't know each other, but they knew each other's names. Hiroshi says that Kisaki seems like a good kid, but he doesn't fit in with the other students at school. He's blunt, but a good person, and he's not like the kid who killed Hiroshi's friend Wait. The flashback ends with Kisaki telling Hiroshi that he met her that day on the way back from school, and that she was the sum of their entire year in school. She was torturing a cat, and she was going to kill the cat, but she let the cat go free, thinking that it would make them go easy on her. When she realized that the kid was a hero, she was horrified. She says that if she'd just thought ahead, she wouldn't have let this happen to her. She tells Kisaki that since then, she's been in love with him.
