The chapter opens with a soliloquy by Hiroshi, who explains that he has a theory about the power of time. He says that the man who tried to kill him on July 1st, 2017 has gone completely crazy. He has been locked up in Hiroshi's apartment for the past two days. He tells Hiroshi that he's learned a lot about the Tokyo Manji gang from the detective, who believes that there is only one person who has the power to jump through time. Hiroshi tells him that he can save his sister, Tachibana, by making contact with a member of the gang. The man in the manji pants says that he got 1000 yen back from Hiroshi on July 6th, and Hiroshi says that every one has bet on him. He also says that if he were a boy, he'd be strong enough to fight the man in pants. But he says that since he lives in the city, he can't go back to his old life. He's going back to the old world because he doesn't know where he'll be able to find his sister.
