"Round Two," the second chapter of the novel, opens with Hiroyuki and his friend, Chisa, on their way back to their hotel in Okayinawa. Hiroyuki tells Chisa that he's going to stop at a beach along the way, and Chisa suggests that they wear a bathing suit and go for a swim in the shallows of the ocean. They decide to stop for a bite to eat and then head back to the hotel.
