In this chapter, the narrator tells us that he's in love with a girl named Nojima. He wants to marry her, but he doesn't want to tell her that she's a "polygonal" woman. He also wants her to marry him, but she won't listen to him. The narrator asks the guys to give him some advice, but they refuse.
