He's been waiting for his son-in-law, who's on his way to the new school in town. Hiroshi tells him to hurry back to the hotel because he's going to see his fiancee, Anri, and her new husband, Tomoyuki, at the same time. He doesn't want to waste any more time at the station, so he tells his son not to worry, because Anri's family has already left the country on their way to New York. He also tells Hiroshi not to be too nice to him, because she'll be angry with him later. He tells her to be nice to her, too, because he loves her, and she's not going to be angry at him for loving her so much. She's just going to have to deal with her dad later on, after all. So Hiroshi and his son go off to have some tea together, and they're interrupted by the arrival of Hiroshi's fiancee, who is also on her way to a new school. He asks her if she'd like to go to the school with him, but she refuses, saying that she loves her husband too much to leave him there.
