Captain Bernhart tells the young man that he has summoned him to the training center because he has two years left in his training and wants to take it from him. Captain Biron tells him that he would like to join the Shiganshina District Training Corps, the 49th class, and that it is an honor to serve as a captain in the military police. The young man says that he is jealous of the way that the foreman teaches the other officers. He also tells the captain that he nearly died testing the new weapons at the testing ground. The foreman says that the new model will work out and that he broke his arm trying to use it. He says that sharle will be furious if it is found out that she has been using the new weapon. The captain says that since the company is now in his under stand, he will be able to send his reports there. He adds that one of the trading partners told him that lady sharle has been spotted in a peculiar place recently.
