In this short scene, we learn that the Duke of York and his wife, the Duchess of York, are on their way to the palace in order to meet with the Prince of Wales. The Duchess, however, has a message for the Prince: she wants to know if the Prince will be willing to marry her if she agrees to marry him. The Prince, who is also on his way, asks the Duchess to meet him at the palace the following day.
