Back in the harem, Roxane laments that the weather is so nice that she can't wait to go outside and eat. She wonders what the prince likes about her, and wonders if he likes a girl like her. Roxane asks Roxane if the prince has called her for night service yet, and Roxane tells her that he has promised to do so. She also tells Roxane that she wants to know why she hasn't been called yet, when the prince decides to call a woman. She says that she's worried about her future, and that she doesn't want to be called back to the king's service at night. She asks if it's because of her magic, or because the prince's body has been damaged by her magic. She then asks if she can defeat Roxane with magic, and if she could do it without the prince knowing. She's shocked that Roxane would say such a thing.
