This chapter opens with a flashback to the beginning of the previous chapter, in which we are introduced to a young man named Griffin, who is a member of the Brotherhood. Griffin has joined the Brotherhood because of his friend, Sikes, who has joined because of Sikes. Griffin tells Sikes that he has been informed that the Brotherhood has set up an enchantment trap to trap the enemy, and he sends someone to help prepare for the confrontation with the enemy. The Brotherhood welcomes Griffin and Sikes to their new home. Griffin asks Sikes what he is talking about, and the young man tells him that he is a lurker at the rabbit cafe. He also tells the others that Sikes is a senior in the Brotherhood, and that he will join the Brotherhood at dawn. He tells them to be friendly and to eat more, and then he tells them that he fears that the enemy will be infected with a cold and will drink too much, so he will have to put on his mask again. He then tells the audience that after finishing the mission, the Brotherhood also gained a lot of money, which is a great deal of money for a guild. He asks the Brotherhood if it is necessary to divide this money among all the guild members in order to buy new weapons, armor, and clothing. He wants to buy a "shining summer" suit for himself and his friends, but he can't find anything that is suitable for men.
