In this chapter, the dawn assistant explains that the sound of Shahua's flute is making the men dizzy. He tells them that Shahua uses a ranged attack, which drains the healing power of the wounded. He also explains that in the last battle, Shahua was able to corner his opponent quickly and easily. The dawn assistant wonders why Shahua is using such a long attack, and wonders if there is something wrong with his equipment, or if he is using it to avoid dealing with many people. He wonders if Shahua does not care about the injured manshu, but he does not seem to care at all about his wounded comrade. He does not even care that the manshu has been badly wounded.
